Director Jim Steel and his Hard As Steel Productions usually churns out product for Vivid Man Video, but don't get confused. His new releases for Metro Home Video really deliver the goods as well as anything he does for Vivid.
The plot is classic Steel -- two guys sitting down discussing their discordant views on relationships. However, the sex is Steel at his best. Up-and-comer Devyn Foster has an incredible body and the best abs in the business. He turns in a hot solo and a nice pairing with Karl Redford (miscredited as Radford). But it is Kevin Kramer who steals the show. While Kramers looks may not stand out in gay porn's ever-expanding sea of pretty faces, this young sandy-haired pup knows how to throw down some sizzling sex. After a blistering alley encounter, Kramer's second scene has him going at it on a bed with a hot blond. Nearby video monitors show close-ups of the fuck 'n' suck activity as it takes place.
If the box cover is nearly as good as the video, The Rival should have no trouble gaining a wide audience.
