Informative as well as stimulating, with many of the cast and directors having a following. Stock accordingly. With proceeds going to charity, it can be a good deed and a good investment.
In this 1998 GayVN Award-winning video, directors, cast and the entire production staff put aside their egos in the help to fight AIDS. Using education as a porn tool, the five directors put together five scenes that instruct and inform safe sex practices. At least, that's what the aim is.
What follows is a mildly informative, occasionally sexual mish-mash of scenes. The first scene, directed by Karen Dior, is an encounter with Dr. Peter Dixon and his patient Tony West. It starts out well, very informative, but falls into the standard bend-over-the-examining-table-while-I-fuck-your-ass routine. The other scenes range from a romantic encounter involving two men in a longtime relationship; Internet sex (sort of); and the teachings of an HIV-positive gay pornstar.
The best scene, however, is the last one. Directed by Wash West, it stars Rod Barry as a butch biker and Dean O"Connor as an innocent kid, and their chemistry ignites the screen when they meet in the woods by a stream. Directed in a 1970s style, West uses film and terrific imagery to convey his safe sex message that is reminiscent of those old porn loops from days gone by and comes across as visually stimulating.
Almost all proceeds go directly to three struggling HIV/AIDS charities.
