Critical Rating: AAAA

Perhaps the best compilation of trans interviews and issues I've ever seen compiled, this Peek is a rare look at both the underground and mainstream TV's and FI's (Female Impersonators) throughout the world.

The segment with famous Joan Rivers impersonator Frank Marino also has photos of the real Joan Rivers as well as Geraldo, Diana Ross, Montel Williams, Madonna and many other real-life celebs.  Then, Michael Salem takes us behind-the-scenes to Berlin's drag bars Chez Nous and Klienenacht for some milquetoast interviewing, but intriguing all the same.  Screamin' Rachel plays hostess, but should learn to take some question-asking lessons because she lets fascinating Ava Hollywood get away with answers like "Oh, the jet set life is just like anyone else's."  Ava was discovered by surreal artist Salvador Dali who wanted to paint him/her nude at 13, but waited a few years.  Sophia La Man, Mia Matz, Virginia and a few others plug director Janus Rainer's other videos about them (which we can't wait to see) and there's a ridiculously short "hi, hello" from Karen Dior backstage that's hardly worth the promo on the box.  Yet, it's a start for anyone into the drag/trans scene.
