Les Stine and Neil Thomas are buddies from the sticks who've just moved west to fabulous El-Lay. That's the "story" here, as far as it goes. This is one of those videos where the "situations" run like this: A visits B; they have sex; B visits C; ditto; and so on.
If there's no plot to grab you, you have to rely on the sheer appeal of watching A and B do it without build-up or props. Sometimes it works in Headin' West, but the rest of the time you'd be better off heading in the opposite direction. Performer-turned-director Gino Colbert hasn't yet got the hang of reliably capturing the good stuff, and we're often stuck with clinical close-ups that aren't pretty. A cast of so-so models doesn't help, though I have to admit they're all up and ready for action.
Colbert does deliver one solid scene that goes a long way toward redeeming the rest – the initial appearance by the elfin, French Canadian Danny Brown, playing a virgin who decides to take the plunge. It's a role that fits him like a glove, even though he's repeated it so often now that you can almost hear them cracking up on the set when he declares with a straight face that he's "never done this before." Never mind credibility – credibility is that look Danny gets on his face that makes him one of the most watchable and rewatchable stars in the business. Decent packaging helps.
