The improvement in this title over Cinderfella's earlier releases is remarkable: the script hangs together, the sexual heat is uniformly sustained (no moments of suspected simulation here!), and the cast members seem to enjoy every minute of what they're doing -- dressed or undressed. Top acting honors go to Lamar as the chief suspect and to Fox as the actual murderer, but Jennings makes a convincing her and Colbert plays the sleazy victim wit relish.
