Alfred Kinsey would be very pleased. Not only is this film interesting to watch, its genesis and the company that produced it, Comstock Films, has a compelling mission. This is sex without all the makeup, fluff, and fuss – simply two lovers (who, in this case, also happen to be porn stars) letting the camera be a third presence in the room. Hunter and Damon sit down together for a "Real World"-style interview, describing how they met, how they keep their relationship on-track, and the politics of gay sex. Filmed snippets of their lovemaking are peppered throughout the interview, an intriguing preview of what's eventually allowed to play out in real time. There's a distinct voyeuristic feel to what we're watching, the camera angles aren't always the best ones, and the filmmakers sometimes have to rush to get a certain moment in focus. But the kissing, oral sex, and furious fucking pack a palatable punch, probably because it's so real.
